Weleda was founded in 1921 by Rudolf Steiner and Ita Wegman. It was a pharmaceutical laboratory with a garden of medicinal herbs. Today, the Swiss company produces over 90 products for body care and about 3,500 drugs. The company still has an anthroposophic philosophy.
